Royal Ontario Museum is sharing six of David Hockney’s IPad Illustrations. Beautiful.
Look what we stumbled upon in the Guardian!! “During his 30-year career as a children’s book publisher, Klaus Flugge received almost 100 beautifully illustrated envelopes by artists including Posy Simmonds, Tony Ross and Axel Scheffler. Here he introduces some of his favourites.” Check out the slide show…amazing art! We notice from our friends at the Creative Review that The Museum of London has launched an iPhone app which brings its extensive art and photographic collections to the streets of the London. According to Creative Review, the app, StreetMuseum, is free. It was developed by the rock star creative team Brothers and Sisters. Through geo tagging and Google Maps, users are guided to various sites in London where, via the iPhone screen, various historical images of the city appear in context. Totally worth a look. Came upon this cool animation done in The Google Lab by Varathit Uthaisri. Love it! Reminded us of “Google Street View” animation. (http://blog.globalmechanic.com/design/google-street-view-turned-into-a-stop-motion-film/) Google Germany uses its Streetview feature with this cool video that weds 3D animation to stop-motion. The effort is framed as though it’s taking place in an old-school traveling scrapbook. A nice nod back to tactile memorabilia. We love it! Work by agency Kolle Rebbe, with production by Sehsucht Berlin. GOOGLE STREET VIEW from Sehsucht™ on Vimeo. |
