Global Mechanic Christmas Party 2009

HO HO HO!
(or if you’re reading this upside down, ¡OH OH OH),

Hurray for Christmas! We recently had our annual Global Mechanic Christmas Party. Man was that a good time! The food was fantastic, boozie-drinks were flowing like proverbial water and the company was second to none. A million thanks go to Betty for making this year’s party a huge success (as she always does) and to Joe for setting up a lovely little animated idea in the corner of the party which we’ve cut together into a time-lapse video for alluv-y’all to see. SKETCHES PART: 002

Welcome to the second installment of SKETCHES.

Today we will be showcasing work from Bruce Alcock, Nathaniel Akin, Michael Mann, Francois-Marc Baillet and Justin Longoz (yours truly). We have a nice wide range of images for you. There were interesting moments in the boardroom, some funny comic moments and a bunch of fantastic sketches. Hope you enjoy them!

We’ve decided to make the SKETCHES  posts a weekly occurrence. Check bak every week for brand spanking new sketches and, of course, new video content and updates on everything else Global Mechanic.

I’m hungry so I dance around a bit, command some fruit to join me at the table and then I terrify the fruit by cutting open and eating an apple. The film was all done with real human stop-motion. None of that cheating-jump-frame-preset monkey business. This is the real deal people! We shot it in an afternoon. Really goes to show how much you can get done in a day. The music with the short is taken from J Dilla’s [...]
